0xCA – Fix for Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, , 10
I have upgraded my PC from windows 7 to windows 10 for about weeks ago and up to this morning was successfully functioning. This morning I found my computer is on the automatic repair screen. I choose the advanced option and tried all the possibilities, it is always running in loop - diagnosing, restart, repair and again to the automatic repair screen, advising I encountered error 0xca.
Even after accessing the boot options I tried safe, and all the other options. It is in loop. Unfortunately I found Windows did not produce any restore point up to date so I could not proceed with the procedure. Reset option is not available since there is no enough space on disk. I did not choose the possibility of erasing all my files since not all my pictures and documents are fully backed up and I am afraid of loosing them.
On the command I tried sfc and dism functions. I have got that a repair file is ready, restart the computer. But I am again in the loop. Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I found no file on the USB disk on key. I am downloading again the USB file on an external drive. The web did not recognized it as flash, so I make an ISO file. Since I cannot perform reset due to lack of space, Can I access the files thru the command prompt should it be c:? Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. I think I understand, but isn't there a way to do it without a USB device? If not, how can I get to it? In my case it was an infinite loop. So I had to need the help of a technician it did cost! I think Microsoft has not envisaged all the possibilities of failure and their correction. They suggest frequently to explore the net, while the computer is not working.
Repair fails. Reset - cannot reset. Recover from driver - doesn't detect USB with recover image. Restore to a previous point - fails.
Bootrec repair - does not fix anything and crashes the boot even worse. Why do you even enable these useless options? How can you live with yourself knowing that sooo many people just google the BSOD codes and see the scale are affected beyond repair by such errors?
